The SigC641x-PTMC board utilizes a Spartan 3 FPGA to
perform front-end signal processing for IF/RF designs, for example
software defined radio applications. Signal processing functions
such as filter banks, fast convolution and matched filtering can be
implemented in logic, allowing real-time processing at sampling
rates up to 200 MHz. Block functions such as FFT, DCT, and other transforms may allow sampling rates up to 10 MHz,
depending on analysis framesize and transform length.
On the SigC641x board, the Spartan 3 FPGA is connected to the following
high-speed signal busses:
-
external 48-bit signal access (via Mictor connectors)
- PCI bus (32-bit, 33 MHz), available when used in PMC or PTMC sites
- 32-bit access to 1 to 8 onboard Texas Instruments C641x DSPs
(using HPI interface on the DSPs)
- UTOPIA L1 and TDM buses available when used in a PTMC site
The SigC641x-PTMC board provides a high-speed signal processing
solution for a variety of platforms, including cPCI, VME,
desktop PC, and stand-alone. It can also be used with a PC104+
adapter.
